It always amazes me what things can be considered 'newsworthy', but this just takes the f*cking cake. America, let me shed a little light on the situation for you - we need to get over ourselves and these pristine values that we think we carry inside of us. Man, we're so anal you couldn't drive a pin up our collective asses with a jackhammer. At some point, with everything else that is going on around us, one has to wonder, "this is the best we can do for news??" And for that are wondering, I haven't yet figured out how to shut off the profanity filter on this site, or I would have by now because, honest to Christ, I can't believe we're so easily offended (or amused) by the fact that someone dropped the F word on television. Jesus, be real, people!!

The $54 Million Dollar Notebook that wasn't

I heard about this story on Good Morning America about a young lady suing Best Buy for a notebook...for $54 MILLION dollars! That's ONE EXPENSIVE notebook! The more I heard about it, the more I could only shake my head at BOTH her AND Best Buy for their stupidity. So I looked it up on ABC news (From ABC News) and sure enough - it's true. Yet another fine example of why we are continuing to work on trying to show just how stupid we've all become.
You know, we keep striving for faster, more efficient service and we expect the world in return. Such has been the American mentality. And the corporations have been glad to provide it, but at what cost? Well, two immediate thoughs come to mind - the first being the loss of some measure of intelligence on our part and the lack of QUALITY service by the corporations on the other. This particular case demonstrates both!

Of all the stupid things that could make headline news, next to provoking a tiger into eating you, this one has to take the cake for the sake of stupidity on both parts, although the edge has to go out to Jeb Corliss, a BASE jumper who decided it would be fun to jump off the Empire State Building without permission. A story in MSNBC (From MSNBC) outlines this foolishness well defining just how stupid, and greedy, people can honestly be. But the most surprising thing is that with EVERYTHING going on the world, this warrants headlines??

In a story published by CNN (From CNN.com), it appears that my original thoughts that I'd kept to myself are true, or at least in part. Now this one really does fall up under general insanity - REALLY...or generally stupid. Having lived with cats all my life, even I know that a little cat can get pissed off really, really quick. It doesn't take much. And I've worn the scars to prove it. So the idea that messing with a BIG cat is a "fun"...well, that's just plain crazy...or stupid.
