Welcome to EvilBunneh.com - NO RELATION TO EVILCARROT.COM!!!!

Best viewed at 1280x1024 resolution or higher

First of all, welcome, welcome, welcome...to my little piece of insanity on the internet, evilbunneh.com. Before the questions begin, let me give you a brief introduction of what this site is about and what you can expect to find here, as I'm sure that most are already thinking what a strange and macabre little site this is and obviously the product of an otherwise demented mind.

Evilbunneh.com isn't about making sense. It's a lot like those "picture within a picture" kind of paintings where there is a hidden picture in each one, although the pictures I try to portray in my ramblings I hope are more than obvious. In a world where we are so wrapped up in our own business, politics and problems, we often overlook just how simple things can be if we were to just step back and look at it more objectively. I can't say that I'm any better than anyone else at being able to look at these things objectively, but I can say that I find great amusement in watching those people who consider themselves more intelligent than me stumble along with no better idea of what their doing than I have.

To that end, I should warn you that what you find here is a collection of observations of the obvious. Sometimes they'll be in a humorous light...other times, they'll be quite cynical and bitter. But above all else, I believe that "right" is a subjective term. And truth can often be said to be nothing more than a perspective of one side or another, each of whom may be lying when looked at logically, but for their case, what they say is considered "truth". What things I post on these pages are just my thoughts on the matters - one person's perspective, that's all. They're not an effort to derail, debunk, deflower or deflate any other person's thoughts or beliefs or otherwise coerce others into seeing things my way, nor would I suggest that I would try to do so. They are simply my collection of thoughts, my contribution to the madness that surrounds us. So be forewarned!! The thoughts and opinions that you find expressed here are my thoughts and expressions and may not coincide with you're own beliefs. If you are offended by those sentiments I express here, I invite you to go somewhere else. Again, this is my little corner of the world and as such, I'm going to feel free to say what I want to say in a way I want to say it.

Okay, that much being out of the way, let's begin with and dispose of the necessity for the traditional bullshit, shall we? You're first impression is probably, "who is this, how did I get here, and how do I get the hell out?". All fair questions. Let's begin at the beginning...

First question..."Who is this" -

My real name is Cliff. By day, I am a humble network engineer and director of an information technology department. I was prepared to be more crass about other's opinions of my vocation and my role in the grand scheme of things, but probably growing that cynical when you've only just got here would only serve to irritate people right out of the gate - we'll save that for a little later on, shall we? :)

In any case, yes, I am an "eight to fiver". I am the white collar epitome of all that my parents never thought I'd become. Hell, as that goes, I never thought I'd get here either and thought for sure I'd be mored to tears if I did. But after a rather tumultuous start, I've managed to achieve some level of mediocrity and here I am and for the first time in my life, I feel satisfied with my "day life". But this still speaks nothing to who "Archimedes" is and why should anyone use an alternate persona. The story's long, but since I have you're ear anyway...

Remember, I said, that "Cliff" is my real name by day. By night I'm Super - oh, wait, that's not me, sorry...(insert sheepish grin). Actually by night and most other times, I am still me, just a little more, ummm, outspoken me. And Archimedes is my online persona. That's the wonderful thing about the internet, it fosters the ability to be completely anonymous and at the same time promotes free speech. As such, I've taken advantage of it for many years and under a couple of different personas. Archimedes, the REAL Archimedes, was a rabbit. Yes, a rabbit. But he wasn't just any rabbit. He was the "most foul, cruel, bad tempered rodent that you ever laid eyes on"!! Or at least he was a direct descendant of that very rabbit. If you haven't a clue what I'm talking about, rent Monte Python and the Holy Grail...I'm not about to try to explain it all. But in speaking to who the REAL Archimedes was, he was a rabbit, but a rabbit unlike any other that I've had the pleasure of meeting and one that, after a fashion, saved my sanity. He was a dear friend and comrade and one that I miss and speak of in more detail on the "about" part of this site.

That being said, as I mentioned, I have gone through a number of transformations, almost as many as my site has since I put it up. But the one that seems to have stuck the longest is this one, seconded only by BB_XPress, a persona I used for a long time during my stint in online racing, a passion that I've since outgrown, I guess. But as the name Archimedes goes, the real Archie was very close to me and when he passed, it seemed appropriate that I should do something to honor and remember him by, especially as he and I shared so many character traits, probably some of the ones that made each of us less endearing to most but each other. Archie, as I mentioned, was a foul tempered little rabbit, almost as foul tempered as I am. And he didn't like strangers...point of fact, I don't think he was overly fond of friends, crotchety little bastard. But then, so am I, but he at least respected me, mostly because I was the one that fed him and because I was bigger than he was. :)

When Archie passed away, I hadn't realized how close he was to me. After having had him as a part of my "family" for the better part of my adult life, the day he passed was terrible. But it was his time to go and I appreciated and still appreciate all that he'd done for me along the way. So when he died, and as my new life began in a new circle of friends, having already shared many of the same endearing attributes as my deceased friend, I thought it only appropriate that I begin anew and assume a new name for my "other self", hence I became Archimedes - the evil bunneh!

Next question..."What is this place and how did I get here" -

Fair question. In short, this is my little contribution to the insanity that surrounds me, a little place where I can take advantage of the freedoms that come with being myself and expressing my thoughts on various matters from the trivial to the controversial in a way that expresses my own opinions and beliefs in a way that hopefully others will find humorous and, if nothing else, thought provoking. The topics can (and often will) range from the inane to the insane, from such subjects as booger trays (explained later) to recent events, politics, religion and a whole host of other "untouchable" subjects that people think are taboo in conversation.

And among all of my pointless dribble, I hope that you'll also find a useful tidbit of information now and again that might provide a smile, a giggle, a chuckle, or who knows. I also like to promote things that are within my interest and possibly the interest of others, so keep a special eye out among all of the other brain garbage that I spew here for little excerpts about places and events that might be worth looking into.

But as a wannabe, and somewhat demented writer, the majority of that which you'll find here are my various thoughts and expressions of a multitude of things from the silly to the serious. Bear in mind, that these are just my own ramblings and sometimes those things that I might say others might find offensive, and in such cases, I would invite whomever is offended by my observations to find someplace else to go rather than bitching about the differences between their points of view and mine. Again, this is my corner of the world and it may not be in keeping with what you or others might think, but it's not in an effort to personally offend anyone, just express my own thoughts on matters and others are welcome to stay and take what I have to say for what it is or find someone else to listen to if they choose and if they find that those things I say are not in keeping with their own moral standards, another subjective issue in and of itself.

As to how you got here, I expect, given the minimal traffic to my site, you probably know me or I've invited you here. In either case, those kinds of people are often attune to my peculiarities and can at least appreciate the ramblings of an already semi-fruity individual such as myself. Otherwise, you've stumbled onto me by accident, and that's fine to, just bear in mind the above warning(s) and welcome to my own little piece of insanity. I couldn't say how you got here, but you're welcome to stay as long as you wish or can endure and would be happy to refer you to a clinical specialist for whatever sort of dementia you pick up here - yes, it is contagious. :)

Last question - "How do I get out of here" -

Don't ask me, man! I'm here all the time. Hey, you're only visiting! I have to live in this mess! But it might have something do to with a couple of buttons I think I saw at the top of the screen...the "back" button and that little red "X" in the corner. I think either one can help you out, but I can't be sure. I don't remember anymore. They say the first thing to go is the mind, but honestly, I can't remember what the first thing was!!

In any case, enjoy your stay...or not. And stop back anytime to see if I'm still intelligible or what sort of madness I've visiting on the world this week. Until then, always remember, "AHA!," said the blind man, "pissing into the wind it all comes back to me now!"

I feel like something is afoot. I don't know if it's bad or good, but I just feel like the air is electrified. Everyone seems to be feeling it in one way or another. Everything seems supercharged in my neck of the woods. Things are happening in rapid sucession, projects are ramping up, homelives are hectic and active for me and those that work for me. Everything seems to be just supercharged for some reason in all aspects of our lives.

I've recently entered a forum that was originally revolving around the topic of whether there is an afterlife or not. The question was short, sweet and to the point - simply a question of "is there an afterlife or not".

The conversation evolved and has touched on some very interesting topics and has now progressed to some of the less mundane pieces of conversation and started to touch on some of the more mystic types of phonemena. It was the fodder for a conversation between Mrs. Evil Bunneh and myself that lasted the better part of the evening and turned out to be quite rewarding...

We as sinners, in order to form a more perfect union

Round and round and round we go...

I have a love/hate kind of relationship with conversations about religion between different parties of varying faiths. I hate getting drawn into them because I know I’m going to get ugly…but I do so love to watch the carnage ensue when it begins between two OTHER people. Partially because I'm not a very social animal, I guess. Sociopathic, maybe, but I don’t qualify myself as social.

So when my conversation with someone else was interupted by a blazing, neon-cross-bearing, bible clutching, Jesus peddler saying that my views on things were wrong...I was a lot less social and a lot more sociopath...

Little Mac Attack - Part II

And so it begins. How to take apart a Mac and put it back together better, stronger, and faster than it was before...and have some fun doing it. I can only classify myself as "semi-technical", which makes me dangerous. But in this particular project, I've been somewhat successful so far and I've had a lot of fun doing it.

And so in this part of the project, we lay out what it is you need to begin this project and what you need to upgrade in terms of hardware. This is quite a recipe - perhaps a recipe for disaster. But hey, it's all in the name of fun.

Little Mac Attack - Part I

So as many might have already guessed, I'm a geek. That's right. I said it - I'm a geek. I love to play with computers, whether it's gaming or just plain taking them apart and putting them together in new and unusual ways. But this particular little project that I got bit by the geek bug over most recently is a departure for even me. How to make an older iMac...into something else. Hense we delve into a little tutorial and some measure of a learning curve on my part as we take apart and put together an iMac as it might have been better done in 2000 when this little beast was first introduced, or at least the one I laid my hands on.
